LCR Stereo Chorus Plugin (AUv3)

LcrChorus is an audio effect plugin designed for use in standalone environments or within any AU compatible host application, including Logic and GarageBand.

Overview

The LcrChorus is a stereo chorus effect inspired by the "LCR Chorus" found in the Korg Wavestate synthesizer. This plugin achieves its chorus effect by modulating the timing of a delayed version of the dry signal using a triangle waveform. Typically, these delay times are set to short intervals, around 20ms. A key differentiator of LcrChorus is its unique approach in processing the left, center, and right channels independently, which allows for a rich and spacious stereo effect.

Parameters

• Active - Toggles the effect On or Off.
• Rate (L/C/R) - Adjusts the modulation of the LFO frequency for the specified channel, ranging from 0.1 to 10.0 Hz. Notably, the LFOs for each channel operate out of phase, ensuring that even with identical rates across channels, a stereo effect persists.
• Depth (L/C/R) - Determines the amount of delay modulation as a percentage of the maximum modulation delay time for the selected channel.
